The Lord spoke a word to me at the end of 2011 and
that word was simply SHIFT. Although this word sounds simple, many times it is
the hardest thing to do. Webster Dictionary defines shift as to change the place, position, or direction
of. I believe God is saying that it's time for us to get up from where we
are and begin to move toward our destiny. You may not know where you are going
but determine in this season of shift to no longer remain in the same position.
It's time for the body of Christ to recognize that we have been stationary for
too long.
Many times, to shift is something that is easier
said than done. The Devil is not threatened by our talk. But when we put that
talk into action he starts to get nervous. It disturbs his kingdom when we
begin to move forward. I believe that God wants our hearts, thoughts, and
attitudes to shift. Because many of us have shifted toward the things of the
world the church's authority is weakened. Some of the greatest actors and
actresses may be found in the church.
The number 12 represents government and authority. I
believe this is the year of kingdom authority, dominion and power for the
believers. I also believe that God is going to get his church in divine order. Not
only is he going to set the church in order but for those who are obedient to
Him, he's going to cause them to walk in a spirit of authority like they have
never known before. If we thought God was exposing and pulling the covers off
last year, we really haven't seen anything yet. For too long many of the people
of God have been playing church, "having a form of godliness but denying
the power of God; what part do we (the church) not understand? God is not a
play toy. He is a Holy God. We owe Him our life. He paid a price that we can
never repay.
I believe the days ahead are going to prove whether
or not we belong to God. We are living in a modern day Sodom and Gomorrah,
where everything goes and no holes are barred; but trust me God is going to
show and is showing His anger just like he did in Romans 1:18-32.God says my
sheep know my voice and that of a stranger they will not follow. Many are
crying holy but don't know the Holy God. Many of us are spinning our wheels and
going through the motions. We are pretending to be something we are not. We are
trying our best to please and impress man rather than the one who created us. God
is calling us back to the alter and to the place of repentance. God is calling
for us to evaluate our own lives. We need to understand that man looks on the outward
but God sees the heart. The Bible says that the heart is desperately wicked and
out of it the issues of life flow.
